About these videos
Each video is recorded from the same drawings the calculators use, so the tape, the saw angles and the cuts are drawn to scale. Pause anywhere, or pick a chapter to jump to the part you need.
The videos are grouped by the job in front of you: reading a tape measure, a micrometer or a caliper; the math behind area, fractions, unit conversions and board feet; cutting crown molding; roof pitch and rafter cuts; forming and finishing a concrete slab; and work in the yard, like screeding a paver bed or leveling a lawn. Videos with chapters list them beside the player, so you can skip straight to the cut or the step you are on.
Check every measurement on the job. A cut is only as accurate as the mark, and a 1/16 inch error on one end of a board shows up as a gap at the other.
